Current Positions and Activities

The GFWC NM Past Presidents not only serve their home Clubs but they continue to serve on District, State, Region and on National Board of Directors for GFWC. One member is currently serving as the South Central Region President and two other members of the Club are currently serving on GFWC’s Membership Committee and the Legislation/Public Policy Committee. They cover a full range of positions within our State organization from Parliamentary Advisor, District President, and as Chairs for the Arts & Culture, Bylaws, Civic Engagement & Outreach, Communications & Public Relations, Juniors’ Special Project/Advocates for Children, Domestic and Sexual Violence, Resolutions, WHRC, Legislation/Public Policy, Harriett Donohoo/Dorothy Pendleton Scholarship and HOBY.

In the last year our Club has donated to the Harriett Donohoo State Scholarship, the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership (HOBY), LEADS support, and the State Art fund. We have also made donations both to the Starlight Children’s Foundation which provides red Radio flyer wagons for use by hospital patients and St. Jude Children’s Hospital; $150 to UNICEF for Ukrainian children; and most recently a donation in honor of our own Ruth Mayhew to HQs for the WHRC.
